One of the major goals of this Institute will be to attract and to promote the cooperation between groups and researchers with activities of high scientific quality and technological impact in energy topics. Thereby, the IMDEA Energy Institute will be open not just to groups currently located in “Comunidad de Madrid”, but strong efforts will be devoted to attract and to get the incorporation of researchers coming from other Spanish regions and from other countries. Scientific excellence will be the main criteria to take into account in the attraction and selection of human resources for the IMDEA Energy Institute.

The incorporation of researchers will take place by means of funded programmes, like “Marie Curie”, “Ramón y Cajal” and “Juan de la Cierva”. Alternatively, high level researchers can be directly hired by the Institute. Likewise, a number of agreements will be established with universities and public research organisms to promote the exchange of researchers with IMDEA Energy.

In addition to researchers fully incorporated into the Institute staff, collaborations with associated and visiting researchers will be also established.
