The policies carried out by the government of the Autonomous Community of Madrid are aimed at stimulating scientific research and creativity on the one hand, and on the other, creating the conditions for generating an environment of safety and legal security in which economic and entrepreneurial activities can be carried out.

The institutional policies of IMDEA follows the guidelines established by Government of the Autonomous Communities of Madrid, and its main goal is establishing a meeting point where public and private key players may work together from the first day, promoting the participation of all social agents (private companies, universities, public research centres, researchers, administrators and citizens) in the generation of knowledge, coordinating its management in an efficient manner.
