IMDEA-CSI: Crime scene investigation (Season 3) at The European Researchers’ Night in Madrid 2019

September 5, 2019

Friday, September 27, 2019 – Residencia de Estudiantes

For the third consecutive year, researchers from the IMDEA Institutes and members of the National Police join forces to combat crime.

The European Researchers' Night in Madrid 2019

The European Researchers' Night in Madrid 2019 coordinated by the Fundación para el Conocimiento madrimasd, is an action framed within the European Horizon 2020 programme, which is held in more than 300 European cities at a time.

IMDEA-CSI: Crime scene investigation (Season 3)

The main argument of the two previous IMDEA-CSI seasons was that Science, with a capital ‘S’ and the different disciplines it refers to, contributes decisively to police investigations. In this third season, we will give a new sign that we are not wrong.

Researchers from the IMDEA Institutes and members of the Scientific Police Headquarters will work against the clock to discover the who, how, when and where of a crime. They will collect and analyse the evidence at the scene of a crime set up for the occasion in the auditorium of the Residencia de Estudiantes in Madrid.

We are sure that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes would love to travel from the late 19th century London, that served as the backdrop for most of his adventures, to the present day to see how current scientific advances helps detective work. And we hope that the IMDEA-CSI (Season 3) audience will enjoy the researchers and the Police work.
