IMDEA in the International Day of Women and Girls in Science

This year the IMDEA Institutes are also contributing to the activities being held all over the world to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
The goal of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is to support women and girls in achieving full and equal participation in scientific fields.
The IMDEA Institutes, who share the aims of this International Day, are planning to participate with several activities. Detailed information can be found on the website of the Fundación para el Conocimiento madrimasd.
With these activities, which range from guided tours and workshop in the laboratories of IMDEA Institutes, to round tables, including talks organised in various schools in the region, the IMDEA Institutes hope that these events will help to convey to the public just a small part of the good work being carried out by their women researchers.
The IMDEA Institutes are getting involved in this special day because they want the society to know about their project’s aim, which is to recruit and retain talent, regardless of gender, talent that seeks to make science meaningful and useful to everyone.
