Future IMDEA Water corporate headquarters participated in the category of "Non-Residential" in the Fourth Edition of Endesa Awards to promote more sustainable building 2010. Its candidacy has been reflected in the book "50 examples of sustainable building developments". Its reflects that the building features the incorporation of renewable energy in buildings: solar thermal energy, photovoltaic and geothermal energy".
The building’s architecture emphasizes the various volumes that make it up without preventing the type is constructed of ventilated facade.
Therefore, being the deck other facade of the building, the institute opts for a cover type cistern to reuse rain and gray water.
It concludes that "IMDEA Water headquarters will be a reflection of the advanced management of water, as well as an exercise in sustainable building practices".
